It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished brother, Liberato (Libby) Masucci, on June 12, 2024, at the age of 59.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Rosaria; his brother, Tony, and sister-in-law, Mirella; his sister, Mary (Raffaela), and brother-in-law, Phil. He will especially be missed by his nephews, Joseph, Sebastian, Ryan, and Jordan. Libby is now reunited with his father, Giuseppe.
Libby was born in San Massino, in the Province of Campobasso, Italy, and came to Canada when he was 5 months old. He was very proud of his Italian heritage.
Libby’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching the Boston Bruins play hockey. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved watching all sporting events. Affectionately known as Uncle Buck, Libby loved seeing his nephews and always had a big smile when they visited.
For those who knew Libby well, his unique way of speaking was infectious. Although he has departed from this world, his spirit will continue to fill the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be terribly missed and most remembered for his infectious laugh and sense of humour. He will always be remembered as the life of the party.
We will cherish our special memories of him, carrying them with us through difficult times and celebrating with them during the good times.
Libby’s memory will forever be a source of comfort to all who were blessed to have known him. May he rest in peace.
